Songs for my Mother (2024)

This song cycle of three songs was commissioned by Laura Avila who also wrote the text. The video below is of the first two songs which I composed (“Lemon Cakes” and “To be a Woman”) while the third was composed by Joey Timmons. It was premiered at Laura’s master’s recital which took place on April 3, 2025.
