Giberne’s Moon (2026)

Commissioned by Reflections Duo (Emma West, soprano, and Vincent Francis, viola), this work uses text by Agnes Giberne, a Victorian novelist of children’s literature. Giberne wrote a text introducing young readers to the latest scientific knowledge of astronomy in a way that I found beautiful and was excited to set the text to music for my dear friends. Giberne’s Moon was premiered on March 22, 2026, at United Parish Brookline, for Reflections’ inaugural concert.
